Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to give us on our forms, and what you type or say in the demo.
- We use it to tell you about Everly and to learn what people need. That’s it.
- We never sell your information, show you ads, or track you around the web. This site uses no cookies and no analytics.
- You can ask us to show, change, or delete your information at any time by emailing brihyunk@gmail.com.
- Please don’t share health details or emergencies here. Everly is not a medical device, and this site is not monitored for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911.
Who we are
Everly is an early-stage project building a watch that helps older adults live independently. “We” means the Everly team. Everly is still in development and does not sell any product yet.
Questions about this policy or your information: brihyunk@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you join the early list
- Your name and email address.
- Who you’re interested for (yourself, a relative, a friend, or your work).
- An age range, if you choose one.
- Your answer to “What would you want help with…”, if you write one.
- Whether you’re open to a short call.
- The date and time you signed up, which is also when you agreed to this policy.
When a care agency asks for a call
- Your name, your agency’s name, your work email, and, if you give them, your role, phone number, an approximate number of clients, and your message.
- The date and time you sent it, which is also when you agreed to this policy.
- We use these details only to set up and follow up on the call. Please don’t include any client’s personal or medical details.
When you try the demo
- What you type or say to the penguin. If you speak, your web browser turns your voice into text (in Chrome, Google does this). The text is sent through our server to an AI service so the penguin can answer. We do not save your conversations.
- Demo settings, like which voice you picked. These are saved only in your own browser, not on our servers. You can clear them by clearing your browser’s site data.
- The demo shows weather for Ann Arbor, Michigan. It never asks for or uses your location.
When you email us
Your email address and whatever you write to us.
Automatically
Like nearly every website, our host (Vercel) keeps short-term server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and which page you opened. These are used to run and protect the site. The main site’s fonts are stored on our own server. The demo loads a font from Google Fonts and its voice from public code libraries (jsDelivr and Hugging Face), so those services see your IP address when you open the demo.
We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking pixels.
How we use it
- To send you updates about Everly, like when the prototype is ready to try.
- To reach you about a short call, only if you said you’re open to one or asked for one.
- To understand what older adults, caregivers and care agencies need, so we build the right thing. We may share overall findings (like “most people wanted X”), but never your name or anything that identifies you.
- To make the demo work and keep the site secure.
We will not sell, rent, or trade your information. We will not use it for ads.
Who helps us handle it
We use a few trusted services to run the site. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.
| Service | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Securely stores early-list sign-ups and agency call requests | Your form answers |
| EmailJS and Google (Gmail) | Sends the thank-you email to you and a notice to our team | Your form answers and email address |
| Vercel | Hosts the website | Server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) |
| Google (Gemini) | Writes the penguin’s answers in the demo | What you type or say in the demo |
| Google Fonts, jsDelivr, Hugging Face | Deliver the demo’s font and voice | Your IP address and browser type (demo only) |
The AI service we use for the demo may keep what it receives and, under its own terms, may use it to improve its products. Please don’t type or say anything personal in the demo, like your full name, address, health details, or passwords.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
Health information
Everly is in development and is not a medical device. It is designed to notice changes, not to diagnose. Please don’t put medical details, diagnoses, or medications in the forms or the demo. If you do, we’ll treat it as private and delete it if you ask.
This website is not monitored for emergencies. If you or someone else needs help right now, call 911.
Signing up someone else
Only sign up another person, such as a parent, if they’ve told you it’s okay. Use their email only with their permission. If someone signed you up without asking, email us and we’ll delete it right away.
How long we keep it
- Early-list sign-ups and agency call requests: until Everly launches or we stop the project, then we delete them. Sooner if you ask.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than the early list.
- Demo conversations: we don’t store them.
- Server logs: kept by Vercel for a short time under its own policy.
Your choices
You can, at any time and for free:
- See the information we have about you.
- Fix anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your information.
- Stop emails. Just reply “unsubscribe” to any email from us.
- Take back your agreement to this policy. We’ll delete your sign-up or request.
Email brihyunk@gmail.com from the address you used. We’ll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner. We offer these choices to everyone, wherever you live.
Keeping it safe
- The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Our database is locked so that visitors can only add a sign-up or request. No one can read them through the website.
- Only the Everly team can see sign-ups and requests.
No system is perfectly secure. If something ever went wrong with your information, we would tell you as soon as possible.
Children
Everly and this site are meant for adults. Please don’t use the forms or demo if you’re under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 sent us information, we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we’ll email you first.
